Size of compressor for Diamondback S

Guys, what size of compressor would you recommend for running a Diamondback S 8s/7c?
7.5 HP, 175 psi, 26 cfm is what is recommended, right?
How about the tank size? Will a 80 Gallon tank be sufficient?
Am I right in saying the air dryer has to match the maximum cfm output of the compressor and of course the HP of the compressor.

You could definitely run a GOOD 5hp for that press. I was told by M&R that a good 5hp would run my 10s/9c. But I did go with a 7.5 HP. Most manufacturers have a chiller that should be paired with the model you buy. I bought Ingersol Rand, and from a dealer. Use a dealer if you want the personal service and quick response tech help and service. S is a great press btw.

I bought the 7.5hp compressor/chiller package from Eaton Compressors when I bought my Gauntlet. It has more than enough air with the 80 gallon tank.

Thanks guys for all the advise. I think I will go for 7.5 HP 80 gallon compressor.
I totally agree, it's better to run the compressor lightly instead of running it on max output for most f the time. Just wondering if we get a M&R Kool-Mist can that be run via the same compressor?

Yes, I used to use one years ago.
