For those of you who use Heat Guns?

I have been using a heat gun now for sometime to cure my shirts with no problems what so ever. I have no need for a flash or conveyor at the present time because of certain situations with the association here at my town home. I have recently had more shirts to print then usual so there has been more use of my heat gun causing it to go out alot sooner then normal. I used to print and heat cure for about 3- 4 hours every other day to now 4-6 hours every other day. I believe this Is the reason my heat guns have been dying on me. Can anyone recommend a heat gun that will run for 4-6 hours at least 4 days a week without any problems? Thank you!

Go to Home Depot and buy the Milwaukee heat gun...Its around $75 and worth every penny...I use mine for samples and onsies etc., and is very good to have around...I've had mine for three years!

i have a setup in my garage. i've got 3 100w bulbs and i leave my tees under for about 1-2 hour before i heat gun each of them separately. what this does for me is 1. allows me time to do other things 2. it sorta preheats the garments for me so i don't spend too much time later on..thus putting less strain on ur heatgun.

Get a flash dryer for God's sake.
8 seconds (or less) will do the trick!
Time is money.

Cast aside your limitations;
And you shall be boundless!

i tried using a heat gun for a few shirts.. it was terribly inconsistent and time consuming .. now i have ablack flash dryer and its like 12-15 seconds and its done.. no discoloring the shirt too.. spend the money .. you'll have to sell like 100 shirts at $4 profit each to pay for it ..

Hand flashing is a bad idea!
You cant really guarantee that the entire image is totally cured.
Most inks require a minimum temp. of 330 degrees for like 10+ seconds....or something like that( belt dryers are great)...At least get a panel flash or something!

4-6 hours??? If it is not effective, change the process. You must ask yourself if the way you do things is effective. If not, find a better way. Don't be afraid to change habits.
