My Machine has been horrible this morning! Every run I have problems with the thread not only unraveling but catching the stitches that are already down and creating a tangled mess. Sometimes the needle isn't even threaded anymore, but the thread is caught up in the presser foot. Any suggestions? I tried re-threading and checked all the tension. The problem is it has been happening on all the heads, not just one!

Re: Thread Unraveling/ Catching stitches
check your timing
Re: Thread Unraveling/ Catching stitches
Barudan have a problem? No, not possible.
I'm going to take a stab at this since I spent 20 years in the leather business as the chief mechanic and bottle washer (owner). When a machine jumps time and you know the hook is set correctly you have to look at the drive belt that operates the upper shaft and lower shaft. The top and bottom both have a gear. The top drives the needle bar and the lower drives the shuttle. If it is happening with all the heads I would be safe to assume that the timing is jumping at the gear from a worn or slack belt.
Take the cover off the wheel that shows the timing. The bridge machine is set on 25. At that point the hook should be directly behind the needle. Check each head and report back.

All your Rotary Hooks are out of time... if you would like someone to walk you through timing them, give us a call. At the same time, we will see if it could possibly be something else causing the problem.

Re: Thread Unraveling/ Catching stitches
Check the timing of your machine sounds like it might be out of time and don’t forget to check the bobbin tension.
