I came across a problem with my machine while running a design that a customer had sent to me. It had very narrow satin lines around the fill and lost registration once I fixed the pathetic lettering. I assumed that I had done something that either changed the design or the machine automat may have gone on vacation. I also checked to make sure everything was tight and the product was clamped correctly.
What I found after checking everything again was that the qs arms that attach to the pantograph had a small amount of play. Off to the parts book to look for the locating pins for the arms. They weren't on there so I called barudan to check if they were available or did the entire part of the pantograph need to be replaced. Good news the locating pin is available but not the best of bargains. As a temporary fix I used the plastic from a 3mil zip seal bag cutting it with a v to clear the protruding screw. Worked like a a champ. So, if you are having registration problems because of slightly loose arms here's the solution.
