Re: vinyl print and embroidery
You are right AlisonB, I can take an applique embroidery file and cut the applique pieces of fabric on my silhouette. I do it all the time, it saves a lot of time when embroidering and appliqueing!

I believe that with the latest Silhouette Designer software it is possible to import a digitized applique file (embroidery) and use the applique stitch lines to generate cut files for the applique pieces. This is from following blogs and Facebook pages - so there may be other people on this forum who can provide more information.
For any information on Silhouette machines it is worth looking at Silhouette School with Melissa Viscount. She is incredibly generous with tutorials and information.
