I've been running figures and time studies on my machines and turns out I'm getting taken to the cleaners by our customers. I hate to do this but it looks like I'll be upping the prices to account for this. I figure I can't do anything for less than $.040 per 1K. What's your limit?

Re: What's your lowest price per 1K stitches you run?
I think SWF have a app for smart phone can help you get right price for embroidery.
Re: What's your lowest price per 1K stitches you run?
This answer (as you already know) depends on the size of equipment your running.
I am a small to mid size shop running 8 machines of different sizes.
I target niche markets that make good profits as well as customers that have small to mid size orders and that do not mind paying for higher quality work.
I am not and never want to be the cheapest guy in town. They never last !
The lowest I want to go right now is right where you are at .40 to .45 cents per 1000 but that price is reserved for larger orders. Orders that are around a few dozen pieces I would price at closer to 80 cents per 1000.
There are big shops that get all away down to less than half what I would charge. I am NOT interested in that side of the business! Its too cut throat and not very high profit margins.
I have never wanted to be but so large, I enjoy being Mid Size !
We are thinking about adding another machine on now (8 head) but I have no desire to ever get but so much larger.
