I have a Dakota Collectables Catalog of Designs for sale if you have not already purchased some. It comes with a marketing guide. I can also offer some advice on digitizing. I almost bought into EmbroidMe glad I didn't.

I cannot speak to the wholesale partner question, but for digitizing I would still recommend you do partner with a local embroiderer/digitizer for at least 6 months...(use one that has digitizing IN HOUSE)..... yes , you will pay more , but if you pay attention to the designs, how they look, what the stitchcounts are, what sizes and fonts work for lettering, talk to the actual digitizer, etc.. you will learn what you need to before you start using an on-line, less expensive choice. If you start out going on line you will most definitely not have the education to know whether an issue is with your embroiderer or your digitizer. Plus remember, you have enough on your plate to start.... what you pay for a quality, production friendly design is well worth not having one more thing to worry about.... you make your money off that file each and every time you sell something with it embroidered on... vs your digitizer that makes their money ONE TIME ONLY.

What do you mean by "wholesale partner?" I agree about finding a local digitizer who will answer your questions although an EmbroidMe may be overly expensive. EmbroidMe tends to be pricey because they have franchise fees to pay. I don't know how detailed your designs are but $90 is high for most left chest designs.

We started our business about a year ago and didn't know squat other than we wanted to start out with the best equipment and the best support.

So, we went to the ISS show in Orlando, Fla. and met the great folks from Barudan. Not only did they take us under their wing and showed us that we meant something to them other than a sale, but the support and training is second to no one. PERIOD. Like another poster here said one time, I'd take a bullet for my Barudan.....Well maybe not, but you catch my drift. :D

If you are truly looking for a digitizer that is fast, very reasonable and can be a mentor as he has to us, I highly recommend the company below. He is located in Texas and I put him up against anyone.
