another newbie question

Hey all pretty new to this. Im using a 4 head 2 bay screen printer. I have a spin over heater and a heating conveyer. If I do more than one color do I have to heat it in between the colors or just at the end. Also should the screen be flat against the shirt or about 1/8 off of it? Im trying to find more info and the locals dont want to help at all. I just want to do some shirts for racers that cant afford the pros to do it. Thanks in advance.

YOu should always use off contact of about 1/8" or so. As far as flashing eacj color it depends on if they are registered or not. If the two colors touch, I would definitely flash them to keep them from mixing. If the colors don't touch, you don't need to worry about it. It just takes time and makes your work space hot.

First of all, off contact needs to be at least 1/8" depending on the taughtness of the mesh. The screen needs to release from the substrate after the squeegee is pulled.

I print wet on wet with the colors butted to each other. I flash only when I use white as a sublimated color to brighten my colors on dark fabric..

Oh, yes, this is important... make sure your squeegees are sharp and true so as to shear off the ink from the mesh.
