There is an Amaya users's group:
http://www.freelists.org/list/amayausers
This would be a good place to get feedback about the pros and cons of this machine. Personally I've heard good things about this machine and it always seems to run well/fast when I check it out at ISS of course then a "tweaked to perfection" design is run.

well i can give you the pros and cons of the xt
Pros
Its fast
it lightweight easy to transport
its very user friendly
doesn't need tension dials
virtually impossible to hit the hoop with the presser foot
cons
melco charges you 600$ relicensing fee upon buying a used machine other wise they will not service it
it says as many as you add but the software upgrade can range anywhere from 5000-10,000 to have multihead operation
the plastic construction i believe cannot hold up against metal construction
