Glimpse of screen printing technology

For the t shirt printing industry, screen printing is very common. Screen printing is also known as serigraphy. The concept of screen printing dates back to very old times, when this printing technique was used to print posters or banners. Later on this technique was used to print designs or images on wood, fabric, canvas, etc.

Screen printing is the best available technique among the screen printers, as it is an easy way to print on apparels. Unlike, the traditional heating process, this printing technology is very easy. The ink that is used for creating prints or designs on the substrates is applied via a wooden mesh which is attached to a stencil using a photo-reactive chemical. With the help of a rubber-blade ink is pressed over the substrate. The stencil helps in getting the colour only on the desired area. The unwanted areas are usually blocked off.

It can be used for printing on t-shirts, caps, beanies, sweatshirts, hoodies, zip-ups, etc.
