Help With Cincinnati dryer

My old Cincinnati dryers started acting up at the end of last year. I believe the part to blame is the omron temperature controller. What happens is that sometimes the heat will increase higher than the set temperature. Did anyone have this issue and any advice on what the problem might be? My temperature controller is an Omron E5EX-A-F I'm looking to find a replacement to check if that is the issue.
