Mistergram Or Amaya, I Need Knowledge!

I Have Not Seen Any Comments About The Mistergram Machines. The Price Is Very Good( I Think) And Parts/labor Guarantees Are Good But Is The Machine The Quality That I Need To Begin A Business With? Amaya Is Very Expensive, Are They Worth The Extra Investment? Are There Any Major Things To Avoid In Buying Used Or Should I Start Out With New? What Will Give Me The Most Value For Today And Tomorrow? Thanks!!!!!

I purchased a new 15 needle Meistergram machine 3 months ago. If someone mentions selling you a Meistergram, run away!!!. Their machine is a joke. Mine has not run in 6 weeks. Their service is beyond terrible. The machine has no way to stop after programing 15 color changes. Buy an SWF.

Yes, you get what you pay for, and Amaya is American made. Its the only machine that is run by the computer, and adjusts for material thickness on its own. The computer talks to the machine 3 times a second. Melco can send upgrades for your machine, simply by sending a new CD that is installed on your computer. Its also the only machine where you can keep adding as many machines as you like and have them all run the same design on one job, and switch them to all independently the next min with some clicks of your mouse. Yes its a big investment, I would make sure you have enought business and clientel lined up, before you jump off the deep end. Sorry, I don't know anything about the other machine you talked about.
I'm a 3rd party trainer for Melco located in Detroit, and my husband is also a service tech for the machine. We have owned ours since 2002, and I'm looking on this site for an Amaya XT, because ours is the older one, when it first came out, and I need an additional machine. You can contact me with any questions you have. April Thomas sales@lymberwear.com

Ok, I will run away from the Meistergram, but how about the Happy HCS-1201. Received a flyer for it and the Meistergram from a vendor at a show recently. Quoted $12,500 for the Happy. Anyone have any comments on this machine. Additionally, can anyone suggest a resource for used machines? Appreciate your feedback.

dulcinea, i know that you can do much better that 12,500 for the happy. There is a dealer in PA that is selling this machine for 8900. This includes the machine, stand, hoop and cap setup. Do please check around. I am sure you could use the funds else where. I am looking at purchasing this machine or the Amaya XT have not decided yet though.
