Re: sewing hats
Your design need to sew from the bottom up and center out.

Re: sewing hats
ok i figured out the start point except the border

Re: sewing hats
no, start point is not what they are talking about... if possible the bottom of the actual design needs to sew first... from the center to the left for example and then jump back to the center and go right.. then move up repeating the process until the design is complete.
ALSO, your machine probably has a FLAT setting and a HAT setting, you have to make sure you have the HAT setting activated... your user manual or a YouTube video should help you find the setting for your particular machine.

Re: sewing hats
i have it on hats...just trying to figure out how to get it to sew from bottom up and to the left and then center to the right.. do i ned to redigitize it. it sewed out get on flats?

Re: sewing hats
Shannon. I find it is easier to re-digitize for caps. Often there are then more stop/starts and colour changes, but the end product is better. For example you have some letters with borders around them. On a flat product you can manage all the letters, and then all the borders - so only 2 colour changes. On a cap it would be better to digitize central letter then central letter border, then letter to right (or left) and its border, and so on. More colour changes but far less registration issues.
Re: sewing hats
this is why we normally digitize center out, bottom to top on all designs.. so if at some later date the client wants to sew on hats.. it will work. and sewing this way works just great on flats as well so it is all good.
