I am looking at a Renassiance single head, 12 needle machine. I am not sure of the model or age. It is black in color. Any ideas?

Re: Renassiance
If you are planning to use it as an embroidery machine instead of a boat anchor, I would stay away from it. Renassiance was bought by Prodigy and support for those machines is dwindling fast. They are also Chinese machines and quality of those machines were not the best.

Re: Renassiance
Hey hey hey ... thats not entirely true!
You forgot about, door stop & coat rack. LOL
Seriously though ... I would be very hesitant and personally stay away, like two said, they company has been bought out (a few times now) and they are not of great quality, and if memory serves me correct, the newer machines are a white-ish grey color. I believe the black case ones are rather old.
As the addage goes ... you get what you pay for.
Re: Renassiance
The one you describe is a Cantare (sp?) Probably an early 2000 vintage.
