Hi Guys,
Currently we use static frames and hold about 2,000 of them with images on them. Some like uniforms repeat quite regularly, and it seems luck what repeats and what does not, often we strip something then get a call...
My plan is to charge customers when they purchase to keep their image up on screen for up to 11 months, charging $1.50 per colour seperation to hold on screen which is cheaper than them remaking screens all the time. Likewise those jobs that don't re-run can come down. I want better management and this to instigate a sales call when the rental term is about to expire to organize the next run possibly.
As we don't currently charge for repeat setup or holding screens this is mostly profit and with a couple of images per screen could essentially cover the factory rent and better reinvestment in remeshing etc. I can't see us losing any clients at all with this, and it could generateup to $5k a month given many screens have two or three images on them, and it will free up screen rotation and possibly reduce the amount of inventory or quality of screen inventory we need.
I don't really want to use excel spreadsheet as I think there may be some existing program or asset management software that may have been built to handle this???
I met a guy in a bar a decade or so ago who ran this system although I cant remember what program he used, and ive always wanted to copy but now we have just moved to new premises i think its time to start this process. Love your suggestions.
