Toyota esp9100 vs esp9000

The only differences I know of are that that 9100 added the ability to transfer designs via USB and LAN ports. More design memory...I think something like 650,000 stitchs for the 9100 vs 250,000 for the 9000 plus I'm sure some updated control software. All of our Toyota machines have been work horses with VERY little down time. If the prices are comparable, the 9100 just for versatility otherwise either would be a good option I believe.

Mechanically speaking the Toyota 9100, 9000, and the Tajima Neo II are pretty much the same machine. They are all built in the same factory and parts are interchangeable. They use the same parts book diagrams. Look behind the rotary hook and bobbin and you will see the Tajima logo engraved in the metal on the Toyotas.

The software and circuit boards are different, the 9100 and I am pretty sure the Tajima supports USB and LAN connections. The software versions are different and like DeepWoods indicates the memory is bigger.

I own a 9100 and have it connected to my computer with a LAN connection. I send the design to the machine and turn around and hit start. Real easy trouble free connection. I can watch the computer and see it stitch out.

Just a note: I heard the other day that the Expert ESP9100 (as designed by Toyota) is going out of production. They will not be making them anymore. They will continue to make parts for them for the next 10 years but they have stopped making the machine.
