Embroidery machine conversion

Has anyone had success converting their Tajima machines that read floppies to a more current technology?

work ok.
if you need to install machine software you can do with PLR(Richpeace) simulated fdd.
also has NET option.with an normal net. cable you can send designs to machine using an computer.
ask PLR for details.

I skipped USB and went wirelss. Can this be done on the Tajima machines ? Seems that everyone is going from Floopy to USB. I tried USB and Wirelss but I like Wirelss better but I am not using Tajima. I bet you could figure it out.

Tajima has some very funky software burned on their boards. I would recommend that you find a tech that has done conversions on your specific machine before you try a DIY project.

Just ordered the Floppy to USB Upgrades for most all machines from PRLElectronics should be here today or tomorrow will let you know how it goes. It was $275 plus shipping.

I purchased on eBay and they contacted me right away asking information on what machine it will be going into (Tajima TMFX C 1202) as well as what type of cable "Do you have one cable on the back with 26 pin or two cables on the back with 34 pins". So I am feeling pretty confident on what is coming.

I have posted this same question as well...let me know what you find out. I don't necessarily want to go wireless but would be interested in whether I should go to the USB attachment using a travel drive for designs. I am not having any issues with my machine and don't want to start any issues, but know that floppys are a pain. I have tajima as well.

Lots of USB conversions. I have two machine with two different conversions. Both work. PRLElectronics is the only on I can read the sticker on, the other is in Korean! Both look the same and operate the same. Different markings on the cases. Go figure.

I ordered a plain floppy to usb conversion box direct from china. Cost was about 50.00 or less. Came with USB formatting software. Works great and easily installed. Wish I remembered the company......google floppy to usb conversion or converters.

I'm still going to use the floppys for a while. Send me your old disks, I'll cover the freight.
Let me know what you have.
